Job Summary


Dupre Logistics, a leading provider of freight and logistics solutions, is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious CDL Tanker Truck Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting bulk liquids safely and efficiently across assigned routes, maintaining strict adherence to federal, state, and company regulations. Key Responsibilities



  • Safely operate tanker trucks to transport liquids such as fuel, chemicals, or other bulk products to customer locations.

  • Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure proper operation and safety compliance.

  • Adhere to all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations.

  • Maintain accurate logs of hours, mileage, and delivery records using electronic logging devices (ELDs) or manual logs.

  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules, delays, or safety concerns.

  • Perform minor vehicle maintenance and report any mechanical issues promptly.

  • Ensure proper loading, unloading, and securement of tanker contents according to safety guidelines.

  • Maintain a clean and professional vehicle appearance.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Valid CDL Class A or B license with tanker endorsement.

  • Clean driving record and strong knowledge of road safety regulations.

  • Ability to operate large vehicles safely under various weather and road conditions.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Basic mechanical aptitude for identifying and troubleshooting minor vehicle issues.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.




Experience



  • Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience, preferably in tanker operations.

  • Experience with bulk liquid transportation and understanding of hazardous material handling is highly preferred.




Working Hours



  • Full-time position with flexible schedules depending on routes.

  • Occasional overnight, weekend, or holiday work may be required.

  • Mileage and route schedules vary, offering opportunities for local, regional, or long-haul assignments.




Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Deep understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements in the trucking industry.

  • Ability to navigate efficiently using GPS and mapping tools.

  • Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading duties when required.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills to address unexpected challenges on the road.
