Job Summary


Penske Logistics is seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL Dedicated Shuttle Driver to join our growing transportation team. In this role, you will operate commercial vehicles to transport goods efficiently and safely along a dedicated route. Key Responsibilities



  • Safely operate a commercial vehicle (CDL Class A or B) to transport freight along a designated shuttle route.

  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local transportation regulations, including DOT guidelines.

  • Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safe operation.

  • Load and unload cargo efficiently while maintaining the integrity of shipments.

  • Maintain accurate records, including delivery logs, mileage reports, and inspection reports.

  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and other team members.

  • Identify and report any mechanical issues, accidents, or incidents promptly.

  • Provide excellent customer service, representing Penske Logistics professionally at all times.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Valid CDL Class A or B license with a clean driving record.

  • Ability to operate commercial vehicles safely in varying weather and traffic conditions.

  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation safety procedures.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to work independently while adhering to established schedules.




Experience



  • Minimum of 1–2 years of professional driving experience preferred, particularly in dedicated shuttle or regional routes.

  • Experience with freight handling, logistics operations, or warehouse coordination is a plus.




Working Hours



  • Full-time, with predictable, dedicated routes.

  • Typical schedules may include early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekend hours depending on route assignments.

  • Overtime may be available based on operational needs.




Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • In-depth knowledge of traffic laws, road safety regulations, and vehicle operation.

  • Strong problem-solving skills to address route changes, delays, or mechanical issues efficiently.

  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.

  • Physical stamina to handle long hours behind the wheel and moderate lifting of cargo.
