Job Summary:
Maverick USA is seeking a dedicated and experienced CDL Flatbed Hauler to join our dynamic transportation team. As a CDL Flatbed Hauler, you will be responsible for safely transporting a variety of materials across regional and long-haul routes, ensuring on-time delivery, compliance with all federal and state regulations, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This role is ideal for a motivated driver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering excellence on the road.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate flatbed trucks to transport goods across regional and long-haul routes.
- Load, secure, and unload cargo in accordance with company standards and DOT regulations.
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips, reporting maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain accurate trip logs, delivery reports, and compliance records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Adhere to all safety, traffic, and federal/state transportation regulations.
- Manage and protect equipment and cargo to prevent damage during transit.
- Demonstrate professionalism and customer service while representing Maverick USA.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience operating flatbed trucks and handling cargo securely.
- Knowledge of loading, securing, and unloading procedures for various cargo types.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations, safety standards, and transportation compliance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle unexpected situations on the road.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a flatbed truck driver or in a similar transportation role.
- Experience with regional and long-haul deliveries preferred.
Working Hours:
- Full-time position with flexible routes, including regional and long-haul schedules.
- Overnight and weekend trips may be required based on route assignments.
- Hours vary depending on delivery schedules and federal driving regulations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of truck safety, load management, and route planning.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment and cargo when necessary.
- Mechanical aptitude for basic truck maintenance and troubleshooting.
- High level of responsibility, accountability, and reliability.
- Excellent navigational skills and familiarity with GPS and mapping systems.
