Job Summary:
PepsiCo, a global leader in food and beverages, is seeking a dedicated CDL Local Delivery Driver for our Beverage Division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of our products to local retail and distribution partners, ensuring excellent service and maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance. Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Class A or Class B commercial vehicle to deliver beverages to stores, restaurants, and other commercial customers.
- Load, unload, and inspect product to ensure delivery accuracy and maintain product integrity.
- Plan and execute efficient local delivery routes while adhering to schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including electronic logs, receipts, and inspection reports.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance to ensure safe operation.
- Comply with all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service, representing PepsiCo in a professional and courteous manner.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding route issues, delays, or concerns.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in local or regional delivery operations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and commercial vehicle safety practices.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy loads up to 50 lbs safely.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for performing minor vehicle maintenance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1–2 years of commercial driving experience, preferably in beverage or food distribution.
- Experience with local deliveries and route management is highly desirable.
Working Hours:
- Full-time position, typically 40–50 hours per week.
- Early morning starts and occasional weekend or holiday shifts may be required depending on delivery schedules.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Thorough understanding of local roads and traffic patterns to optimize delivery routes.
- Ability to navigate using GPS and digital route planning tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills to handle unexpected delivery challenges.
- Attention to detail for accurate order fulfillment and documentation.
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor with customers and peers.
