Estes Express Lines is seeking dedicated and experienced CDL Class A Linehaul Drivers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently across regional and long-haul routes. Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate company-owned or leased trucks in compliance with DOT regulations.
Transport freight over long distances, ensuring on-time delivery to customers.
Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to maintain equipment safety and reliability.
Accurately complete logbooks, reports, and delivery documentation.
Communicate effectively with dispatch, logistics teams, and customers regarding shipment status.
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with clients, colleagues, and the public.
Identify and report maintenance issues promptly to ensure vehicle reliability.
Adhere to all federal, state, and company safety regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
Proven experience operating linehaul trucks over long distances.
Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
Ability to manage time efficiently and meet delivery schedules.
Basic mechanical knowledge to identify and troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Dependable, responsible, and self-motivated.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience as a CDL Class A driver in linehaul, long-haul, or regional freight operations.
Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation preferred.
Working Hours:
Full-time position with variable schedules, including regional or over-the-road routes.
Occasional weekends or overnight travel may be required.
Flexibility to adjust to route demands and delivery timelines.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):
Strong understanding of transportation logistics and freight handling.
Ability to read maps, follow directions, and use GPS navigation systems.
Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
Ability to handle physical demands of loading/unloading freight as needed.
High level of safety awareness and risk management while on the road.
