Superior Carriers, a leading transportation and logistics company, is seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious CDL Class A Hazmat Tanker Driver to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of hazardous materials while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and company regulations. Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate and transport hazardous materials using a Class A tanker truck, adhering to all DOT, OSHA, and company safety regulations.
Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards.
Accurately load and unload tanker cargo, following all hazmat handling and documentation procedures.
Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, inspections, and other necessary reports.
Monitor and report any mechanical issues, accidents, or incidents promptly to the operations team.
Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills while interacting with clients and facilities.
Participate in ongoing safety and compliance training programs.
Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to company policies and standards at all times.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Valid CDL Class A license with Hazmat endorsement.
Clean driving record with at least 2 years of CDL driving experience, preferably with tanker operations.
Knowledge of hazardous materials regulations and safe handling procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Physically capable of performing duties that require lifting, climbing, and long hours on the road.
Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and GPS navigation systems.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of CDL Class A driving experience, preferably in hazmat tanker operations.
Proven track record of safe driving and compliance with federal and state transportation regulations.
Working Hours:
Full-time, typically Monday to Friday with some weekend or on-call shifts as needed.
Long-haul routes may require overnight stays, with flexible scheduling options.
