As a Linehaul Driver, you will be responsible for transporting freight between company terminals and distribution centers, maintaining high standards of customer service, and adhering to all safety and compliance regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (tractor-trailer) over designated routes.
Transport freight between R+L Carriers terminals and partner facilities, ensuring on-time pick-up and delivery.
Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date driver logs, mileage records, and delivery documentation.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, terminal managers, and customers regarding scheduling or delays.
Handle freight with care, ensuring all items are properly secured during transport.
Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and industry safety standards.
Report any accidents, damages, or incidents immediately to management.
Maintain cleanliness and efficiency of assigned vehicles.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A).
Clean driving record with no major violations in the last three years.
Minimum age of 21 years.
Ability to pass a DOT physical exam and pre-employment drug screening.
Strong attention to safety, detail, and operational excellence.
Excellent communication and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage schedules efficiently.
Experience
Minimum 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience, preferably in linehaul, regional, or long-haul trucking.
Experience with freight handling and basic vehicle maintenance is preferred.
Working Hours
Linehaul positions typically operate on night shifts with scheduled routes between terminals.
Consistent weekly miles and dependable home time.
Overtime and weekend work may be available based on freight volume.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
In-depth knowledge of DOT regulations and FMCSA safety standards.
Proficient in using Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs).
Ability to manage long driving hours while maintaining focus and alertness.
Skilled in route planning, map reading, and navigation tools.
