Job Summary
Sysco Foods is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious CDL Class B Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering food products and related supplies to restaurants, healthcare facilities, and other customer locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, excellent customer service skills, and a proven ability to operate commercial vehicles efficiently. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that our clients receive timely and accurate deliveries, upholding Sysco’s reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class B commercial vehicle to deliver products to assigned routes.
- Load and unload products while adhering to safety protocols and proper handling techniques.
- Ensure accurate order fulfillment by verifying delivery orders against shipment manifests.
- Maintain communication with dispatch and management regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
- Inspect vehicles daily to ensure safe and proper operation; report any maintenance or repair needs.
- Provide outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local driving laws and Sysco’s safety policies.
- Assist in inventory management and product rotation as needed during deliveries.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class B license with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of safe driving practices and local traffic regulations.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy products (up to 50 lbs) safely.
- Familiarity with delivery routes and the ability to navigate efficiently.
- Dependability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
Experience
- Minimum of 1-2 years of commercial driving experience, preferably in foodservice or retail delivery.
- Experience in handling perishable goods or operating refrigerated trucks is a plus.
Working Hours
- Full-time position with variable shifts depending on delivery routes.
- Early morning, evening, and weekend schedules may be required.
- Overtime opportunities may be available based on operational needs.

- Strong understanding of vehicle operation and safety regulations.
- Ability to manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
