Job Summary


Kenan Advantage Group (KAG) is seeking professional and safety-conscious CDL Hazmat Drivers to join our Tanker Division. This role involves transporting hazardous materials, such as fuel or chemicals, to various destinations while adhering to all federal, state, and company safety regulations. Drivers will operate specialized tankers, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensure proper documentation and handling of hazardous loads.




Key Responsibilities



  • Safely transport hazardous materials to designated locations.

  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.

  • Ensure proper handling and documentation of hazardous materials.

  • Adhere to all federal, state, and company safety regulations.

  • Maintain communication with dispatch and management regarding route status.

  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and timely.

  • Participate in safety training and meetings as required.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Valid CDL-A with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.

  • 12 months of recent and verifiable tractor-trailer experience.

  • Ability to obtain TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) within the first 90 days of employment.

  • Clean driving record with no major violations.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills.




Experience



  • Minimum of 12 months of recent and verifiable experience operating a tractor-trailer.

  • Experience in transporting hazardous materials is preferred but not required.




Working Hours



  • Full-time positions with various shifts available.

  • Schedules may include nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on the route and customer requirements.

  • Overtime opportunities may be available.




Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations.

  • Proficiency in operating tanker trucks and related equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret maps and route plans.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.

  • Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including loading and unloading materials.

  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized vehicle.
