Hirschbach is seeking experienced and safety-focused CDL Reefer Drivers for cross-country hauling. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for the timely and secure delivery of refrigerated goods across the United States. Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate and maintain a refrigerated tractor-trailer across long-haul routes nationwide.
Ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to scheduled routes and customer requirements.
Monitor and maintain proper temperature control for perishable cargo.
Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Complete accurate logbooks, delivery reports, and other documentation in accordance with company and federal DOT standards.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other team members to resolve issues and provide updates.
Follow all DOT regulations, Hirschbach safety policies, and company driving procedures.
Report any maintenance issues, accidents, or delays promptly to the operations team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
Experience driving refrigerated (reefer) trucks across long-haul routes.
Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
Ability to handle time-sensitive deliveries under variable weather and traffic conditions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting abilities for on-road situations.
Experience:
Minimum of 1–3 years of experience as a CDL Class A driver, preferably with refrigerated loads.
Experience with cross-country routes and long-haul schedules is highly preferred.
Working Hours:
Full-time long-haul schedules with varying departure and arrival times.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by route assignments.
