Energy Transfer is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious CDL Class A Sand Hauler to join our dynamic transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient and safe transportation of sand and other materials to support our energy infrastructure operations. This role requires a professional driver with a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport sand and related materials to various job sites.
Adhere strictly to all federal, state, and company safety regulations and DOT requirements.
Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and functionality.
Maintain accurate delivery logs, timesheets, and other documentation in compliance with company policies.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site managers, and team members to coordinate deliveries.
Report any vehicle maintenance issues or operational challenges promptly.
Follow prescribed routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Assist in loading and unloading sand or equipment as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
Knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations and DOT compliance.
Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, safety checks, and operational protocols.
Ability to read maps, follow GPS navigation, and plan efficient routes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical stamina to handle long driving hours and occasional manual labor associated with loading/unloading.
Experience:
Minimum of 1–3 years of experience as a Class A driver in heavy hauling or sand/gravel transport is preferred.
Experience in energy, construction, or logistics operations is an advantage.
Working Hours:
Full-time position.
Hours may vary depending on project schedules, typically including day and occasional night shifts.
Overtime may be required during peak operational periods.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of vehicle operation, load management, and safety standards.
Ability to handle stressful situations on the road with composure.
Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Commitment to punctuality, reliability, and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Proficiency with basic electronic logging devices (ELDs) and transportation management systems is preferred.
