Ryder System, Inc., a leading transportation and logistics company, is seeking dedicated and safety-conscious CDL Class A drivers to join our fleet. As a Ryder Dedicated Fleet Driver, you will be entrusted with transporting goods to our valued customers, ensuring timely deliveries, and upholding the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport goods to designated locations.
Ensure timely and accurate deliveries, adhering to all delivery schedules.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and other required documentation.
Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding any issues or delays.
Assist in loading and unloading of goods as necessary.
Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Minimum of 9 months of verifiable experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years.
Clean driving record with no major violations.
Ability to pass a Ryder drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
Experience

Working Hours
Full-time position with flexible hours.
Schedules may include nights, weekends, and holidays based on route requirements.

Proficiency in using GPS and other navigation tools.
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
