Job Summary
Aramark is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious CDL Class B Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering products safely and efficiently to various client locations, maintaining excellent service standards, and ensuring compliance with all transportation regulations. This is a critical role for maintaining Aramark’s reputation for reliable service and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class B commercial vehicle to deliver goods to client locations on assigned routes.
- Load, unload, and secure cargo, ensuring products are handled with care.
- Inspect vehicles daily for maintenance, safety, and operational issues; report any concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage reports, and other required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding schedules, delays, or issues.
- Adhere strictly to all federal, state, and local transportation laws and Aramark safety policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service, representing Aramark’s brand professionally during deliveries.
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and stock replenishment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class B license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience driving commercial vehicles, preferably in a delivery or distribution environment.
- Strong understanding of local roads, traffic patterns, and safety regulations.
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safety, punctuality, and professional conduct.
Experience
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience operating Class B commercial vehicles in a professional setting.
- Experience in food service, distribution, or logistics industries preferred but not required.
Working Hours
- Full-time position, typically 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime as needed.
- Early morning, evening, or weekend shifts may be required depending on delivery schedules.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of CDL Class B vehicle operations and safety standards.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and complete delivery routes efficiently.
- Proficient in using delivery and navigation technology.
- Capable of lifting and moving heavy objects safely (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong problem-solving skills to handle unexpected route changes or client issues.
