Job Summary


Penske Logistics is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious CDL Class A Shuttle Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight between company facilities and customer locations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and compliance. Key Responsibilities



  • Operate a Class A commercial vehicle safely and efficiently for shuttle routes between terminals, distribution centers, and client sites.

  • Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe working condition.

  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipping documents, and mileage reports in accordance with company and DOT regulations.

  • Load and unload freight safely, using proper equipment and procedures.

  • Adhere strictly to traffic laws, company policies, and safety standards at all times.

  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and customers regarding delivery status or issues.

  • Report any accidents, incidents, or mechanical problems immediately to management.

  • Demonstrate professionalism and provide excellent customer service on every delivery.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.

  • Ability to operate tractor-trailers, box trucks, and other Class A vehicles safely.

  • Knowledge of DOT regulations, FMCSA safety requirements, and standard transportation procedures.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate reporting and documentation.

  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.

  • Physical ability to handle loading/unloading tasks and withstand extended periods of driving.




Experience



  • Minimum of 1–2 years of professional driving experience in a Class A vehicle is preferred.

  • Prior experience in shuttle, regional, or local delivery operations is a plus.

  • Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and GPS navigation systems is beneficial.




Working Hours



  • Full-time position with variable schedules depending on shuttle route assignments.

  • Typical shifts may include early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends.

  • Overtime opportunities may be available based on operational needs.

  • Comprehensive understanding of vehicle safety protocols and federal/state driving regulations.
