Job Summary
Amazon Freight Partner is seeking dedicated and safety-conscious CDL Local Delivery Drivers to join our growing logistics team. As a CDL Local Delivery Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring that packages reach our customers efficiently and safely. This is a hands-on, rewarding position that requires professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering excellence on every route.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Pick up and deliver packages locally, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and maintenance.
- Accurately maintain delivery logs, mileage reports, and any other required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules or delays.
- Handle packages carefully to prevent damage and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo as necessary.
- Uphold Amazon’s high standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or B license with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of local roads and delivery routes.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Physical ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 lbs safely.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety inspections.
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-oriented.
Experience
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a commercial driver or in a similar delivery role preferred.
- Experience with local delivery operations and customer-facing responsibilities is highly desirable.
Working Hours
- Full-time position, typically 40–50 hours per week.
- Early morning, evening, and occasional weekend shifts may be required.
