Job Summary
National Fabrication Group is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Welding Supervisor to lead our welding operations team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding processes, safety compliance, and team management within a fabrication or industrial environment. As a Welding Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily welding operations, ensuring high-quality production, and mentoring welders to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage a team of welders, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
- Oversee welding operations, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding processes, across various projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, company policies, and industry regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of welds and fabrication work to guarantee quality and durability.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate welding staff, providing guidance to improve skills and efficiency.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and quality control teams to meet project requirements.
- Maintain welding equipment, tools, and consumables, ensuring operational readiness.
- Implement process improvements to optimize efficiency, reduce errors, and maintain cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare reports on production progress, team performance, and operational challenges.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Welding Supervisor or Senior Welder in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Arc) and materials handling.
- In-depth understanding of welding codes, standards, and safety regulations (AWS, ASME, ISO standards preferred).
- Excellent leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in welding inspection tools and quality control methods.
Experience
- Minimum 5–7 years of hands-on welding experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Experience in a high-volume fabrication or industrial environment is highly preferred.
Working Hours
- Full-time position, typically 40–48 hours per week.
- Flexibility for overtime or weekend work depending on project deadlines.

- Deep understanding of welding metallurgy, techniques, and fabrication processes.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to enforce safety standards and maintain a hazard-free work environment.
