Job Summary


BrightSteel Industries is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic production team. In this role, you will assist in fabricating, shaping, and assembling sheet metal components according to technical specifications and quality standards. Key Responsibilities



  • Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal components using hand tools, machines, and fabrication equipment.

  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics accurately to produce required parts.

  • Assemble metal components and ensure proper alignment, fit, and quality standards.

  • Perform basic welding, riveting, or fastening tasks as required.

  • Inspect finished products for defects and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while following safety protocols.

  • Assist senior fabricators in specialized tasks and learn advanced fabrication techniques.

  • Report any equipment malfunctions, material shortages, or quality issues to supervisors promptly.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in metal fabrication is a plus.

  • Basic understanding of sheet metal fabrication techniques, tools, and equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

  • Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and precision in work.

  • Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and handle heavy materials safely.

  • Basic welding or mechanical skills are advantageous but not mandatory.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.




Experience



  • No prior professional experience is required; this position is ideal for freshers or recent graduates interested in manufacturing and fabrication.

  • Internship or hands-on experience in metalworking, fabrication shops, or vocational training will be a plus.




Working Hours



  • Full-time position, typically Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

  • Occasional overtime may be required based on production schedules.




Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Understanding of basic fabrication principles, including cutting, bending, and assembling sheet metal.

  • Knowledge of workplace safety standards and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and prioritize tasks efficiently.

  • Problem-solving skills to address minor fabrication challenges.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and machinery in the fabrication process.
