Job Summary
MetalCraft Industries is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fabrication Shop Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, welding, and fabricating high-quality metal components according to precise specifications and safety standards. This role requires attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a commitment to producing durable and accurate work in a fast-paced fabrication environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding and fabrication of metal structures, components, and assemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Operate welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and Arc welding machines safely and efficiently.
- Inspect and measure finished products to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain welding tools, equipment, and work area in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
- Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and team members to improve fabrication processes and solve technical challenges.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols accurately.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly to supervisors.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Arc welding techniques.
- Strong understanding of metal fabrication, welding processes, and industry safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Attention to detail and precision in welding and metal assembly.
- Physical stamina and dexterity for handling heavy materials and long periods of standing.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
- Knowledge of metal types, welding materials, and fabrication tools.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of hands-on welding and fabrication experience in a workshop or industrial setting.
- Experience in custom metal fabrication and assembly is highly desirable.
Working Hours
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Overtime may be required based on project deadlines.

- In-depth knowledge of welding techniques and metal properties.
- Strong technical skills with the ability to operate welding machines and hand tools safely.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
