Job Summary


Industrial WeldWorks is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Night Shift Production Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the fabrication and assembly of metal components used in industrial machinery, structures, and equipment. This position involves operating welding machines, reading blueprints, ensuring weld quality, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment during night operations. The successful applicant must be able to work independently, maintain focus during extended hours, and consistently meet production deadlines.




Key Responsibilities



  • Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on various metals including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements.

  • Prepare materials and set up welding equipment for each production batch.

  • Inspect and verify dimensions and quality of welds using precision measuring tools.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the welding area, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

  • Collaborate with production supervisors and quality inspectors to resolve fabrication issues.

  • Perform routine maintenance checks on welding equipment to ensure consistent performance.

  • Adhere to established productivity targets and report any delays or production challenges.

  • Document production activity and quality results according to company standards.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational welding certification preferred.

  • Proven experience in MIG, TIG, and Arc welding within a production or manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols accurately.

  • Strong understanding of welding safety practices and OSHA regulations.

  • Physical stamina and dexterity to handle welding tools and heavy materials.

  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

  • Ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision during night shifts.




Experience



  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a welder in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

  • Prior experience working night shifts or in a continuous production line environment is an advantage.




Working Hours



  • Night Shift: 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM (Monday to Saturday)

  • Occasional overtime may be required based on production demands.




Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • In-depth knowledge of welding procedures, equipment setup, and material properties.

  • Proficiency in using welding tools, grinders, cutters, and measuring instruments.

  • Ability to identify defects and implement corrective actions.

  • Sound understanding of metallurgy and heat control.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills for effective coordination with shift supervisors.
