Urban Infrastructure Corp. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bridge Construction Welder to join our dynamic construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating high-quality metal structures essential for bridge construction projects. This role requires precision, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work efficiently in challenging outdoor environments.




Key Responsibilities



  • Perform welding operations, including MIG, TIG, and Arc welding, to assemble bridge components according to engineering specifications.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to ensure accurate construction.

  • Inspect and verify the quality of welded joints, ensuring compliance with structural integrity and safety standards.

  • Operate welding equipment, cutting tools, and fabrication machinery safely and effectively.

  • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other construction team members to meet project timelines.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company protocols.

  • Report any defects, issues, or potential hazards to the project supervisor promptly.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Proven experience in bridge construction welding or structural metal fabrication.

  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Arc welding techniques.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, and blueprints.

  • Strong understanding of welding codes and industry safety standards.

  • Physical stamina and the ability to work at heights or in outdoor environments.

  • Excellent hand-eye coordination, precision, and attention to detail.




Experience



  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in welding for heavy infrastructure or bridge construction projects.

  • Prior experience working on large-scale construction projects is highly desirable.




Working Hours



  • Full-time position, typically 40–50 hours per week.

  • Flexibility to work extended hours when project deadlines require.

  • Work may involve outdoor exposure and travel to bridge construction sites.

  • Strong problem-solving skills to address construction and welding challenges.

  • Ability to follow strict safety protocols in high-risk construction environments.

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills for coordinating with supervisors and engineers.
