Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on various automotive components according to technical specifications, blueprints, and production schedules.
• Inspect welded parts for quality, alignment, and consistency; identify and rectify defects.
• Maintain welding equipment, tools, and consumables in excellent working condition.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to optimize processes and meet production targets.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure product quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience as a MIG Welder, preferably in the automotive manufacturing sector.
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
• Skilled in using MIG welding equipment and related hand tools.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and manual dexterity.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work in a standing position for extended periods.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on MIG welding experience in automotive or related manufacturing industries.
• Previous exposure to high-volume production environments is highly desirable.

Working Hours

• Standard full-time shifts; flexibility may be required based on production demands.
• Overtime may be available during peak production periods.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficiency in MIG welding techniques and equipment handling.
• Understanding of welding safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently.
• Basic mechanical aptitude to understand part fitment and assembly.
