Job Summary


HeatFlow Industries is seeking a skilled Certified Pipe Welder Journeyman to join our dynamic team of professionals in delivering high-quality welding solutions for industrial, energy, and construction projects. Key Responsibilities



  • Perform welding of carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy pipes according to project specifications and industry standards.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and welding procedures.

  • Set up and operate welding equipment, ensuring proper settings and techniques for each job.

  • Inspect welded joints for quality, integrity, and adherence to codes and standards.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of welding activities, including inspections and certifications.

  • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and team members to meet project deadlines and quality expectations.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies and OSHA regulations.

  • Assist in mentoring junior welders and providing technical guidance as required.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Certified Welder (e.g., AWS, API, ASME) with journeyman-level experience.

  • Proficiency in TIG, MIG, SMAW, and/or FCAW welding techniques for pipes.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding codes.

  • Strong understanding of welding procedures, metallurgy, and pipefitters’ standards.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Physical stamina and dexterity to work in demanding environments.




Experience



  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a pipe welder in industrial, oil & gas, or construction projects.

  • Proven track record of successfully completing projects with adherence to safety and quality standards.

  • Prior experience with pressure piping systems and high-temperature or high-pressure pipelines is preferred.




Working Hours



  • Full-time schedule with standard 40–50 hours/week, including potential overtime based on project demands.

  • Flexible shifts may be required depending on project timelines and locations.




Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Comprehensive knowledge of welding codes (ASME, AWS, API) and safety regulations.

  • Skilled in troubleshooting welding issues and maintaining equipment.

  • Strong communication skills for coordination with project teams and supervisors.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
