Job Summary


PetroWeld Services is seeking a highly skilled Combo Welder to join our dynamic team in the oil and gas sector. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both MIG and TIG welding techniques, with the ability to work on high-pressure pipelines, structural steel, and industrial equipment. This role requires precision, safety-conscious execution, and the capability to meet strict project timelines in challenging environments.


As a Combo Welder, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all welding activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and PetroWeld’s quality benchmarks. Your expertise will directly contribute to the reliability and safety of oil and gas operations.




Key Responsibilities



  • Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on pipelines, structural components, and equipment in oil and gas facilities.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings accurately.

  • Conduct pre-weld inspections and prepare surfaces to ensure optimal weld quality.

  • Maintain and calibrate welding equipment for efficient and safe operation.

  • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and project managers to complete welding tasks on schedule.

  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and company policies in all welding operations.

  • Inspect completed welds for quality, including visual and NDT methods as required.

  • Maintain accurate records of welding activities, materials used, and inspection reports.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Proven experience as a Combo Welder (MIG/TIG/Stick) in industrial or oil and gas projects.

  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and fabrication standards.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.

  • Proficient in using welding equipment, tools, and safety gear.

  • Familiarity with ASME, AWS, and API welding codes.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Physical stamina and dexterity to work in confined spaces, at heights, or in extreme environmental conditions.




Experience



  • Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in welding within the oil and gas, construction, or industrial sectors.

  • Experience with high-pressure pipelines, structural steel fabrication, or offshore/onshore projects is highly preferred.




Working Hours



  • Full-time position.

  • Flexible shift patterns may apply depending on project schedules.
