Job Summary


Roadside Welding Solutions is seeking a skilled and dedicated Mobile Welder to join our field operations team. The Mobile Welder will be responsible for providing high-quality welding services at various on-site locations, ensuring timely and efficient completion of projects. This role demands a strong understanding of welding techniques, safety protocols, and the ability to work independently in diverse field environments.

Key Responsibilities



  • Perform on-site welding, cutting, and fabrication tasks using MIG, TIG, Stick, or other welding techniques as required.

  • Inspect and prepare materials for welding, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.

  • Diagnose and repair metal structures, equipment, and machinery in field locations.

  • Maintain welding equipment and ensure tools are properly stored and transported.

  • Adhere strictly to safety regulations, site guidelines, and company policies during field operations.

  • Document work performed, including job progress, materials used, and time spent on each project.

  • Collaborate with team members, project managers, and clients to deliver high-quality solutions.

  • Respond promptly to emergency repair requests and provide mobile welding solutions in challenging environments.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Proven experience in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, with the ability to work on various metals including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications.

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for on-site repairs.

  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina to work in outdoor and potentially hazardous conditions.

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record; comfortable driving a company vehicle to multiple job sites.

  • Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.




Experience



  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a professional welder, preferably with field or mobile welding experience.

  • Experience in roadside, industrial, or construction project environments is highly desirable.




Working Hours



  • Full-time position with flexibility to work extended hours when projects require.

  • Travel to various project sites, sometimes with overnight stays depending on project location.




Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • In-depth knowledge of welding safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time efficiently.

  • Physical strength and endurance for lifting heavy materials and standing for long periods.

  • Familiarity with welding machines, grinders, cutting torches, and related tools.

  • Strong organizational skills for maintaining inventory and reporting project updates.
