Metro Fabrication is seeking motivated and safety-conscious individuals to join our team as Entry Level Welder Trainees. This role is designed for individuals who are eager to build a career in welding and fabrication, offering hands-on training with industry-standard equipment. Key Responsibilities



  • Assist senior welders and fabrication staff in preparing materials for welding.

  • Learn and apply welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and stick welding under supervision.

  • Maintain and clean welding equipment, tools, and work areas in compliance with safety standards.

  • Read and interpret basic blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.

  • Monitor and maintain quality standards during training and supervised welding tasks.

  • Participate actively in safety training and follow company safety procedures at all times.

  • Support general fabrication duties, including cutting, grinding, and assembling metal components.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Strong interest in welding and metal fabrication.

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and hand-eye coordination.

  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work collaboratively with a team.

  • Commitment to learning and adapting to a fast-paced work environment.




Experience



  • No prior professional welding experience required.

  • Previous exposure to metalworking, vocational training, or hands-on technical classes is a plus.




Working Hours



  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday.

  • Standard hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

  • Occasional overtime may be required depending on project deadlines.




Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Understanding of basic safety protocols and protective equipment usage.

  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and technical diagrams.

  • Strong physical stamina to perform standing, lifting, bending, and welding tasks for extended periods.

  • Eagerness to learn new welding techniques and fabrication methods.

  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
