Job Summary:
Precision Metals is seeking a highly skilled TIG Welder to join our dynamic team specializing in stainless steel fabrication projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate precision, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to quality. This role involves welding stainless steel components to exact specifications, contributing to the production of high-quality metal products used in industrial, commercial, and architectural applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform TIG welding on stainless steel components following technical drawings and specifications.
- Ensure weld quality meets company standards, including structural integrity and aesthetic finish.
- Prepare and set up welding equipment, fixtures, and materials for each project.
- Inspect welded components for defects and perform necessary corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineers, fabricators, and production staff to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
- Keep accurate records of welding activities, including materials used, hours worked, and project progress.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficient in TIG welding techniques for stainless steel.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Knowledge of metallurgical properties of stainless steel and related alloys.
- Familiarity with welding safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a TIG welder, preferably in stainless steel fabrication.
- Experience working on industrial, commercial, or architectural metal projects is highly desirable.
Working Hours:
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday, standard working hours with occasional overtime as required to meet project deadlines.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for welding defects.
- Ability to maintain consistency in weld quality under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of welding tools, machinery, and safety regulations.
- Physical stamina to work in standing or confined positions for extended periods.
