StreamSafe Media is seeking vigilant and detail-oriented YouTube Content Moderators to join our remote freelance team. As a Content Moderator, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe, engaging, and trustworthy online environment by reviewing, evaluating, and managing user-generated content on YouTube channels. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, review, and moderate user-generated content on YouTube, including videos, comments, and live streams, ensuring compliance with platform guidelines and community standards.
- Identify and flag inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content according to company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of moderation actions and report trends or recurring issues.
- Collaborate with team leads and other moderators to improve moderation processes.
- Stay updated on YouTube’s policies, emerging trends, and best practices in content moderation.
- Respond promptly and professionally to queries or escalations related to content.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, especially YouTube, and their community guidelines.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to make judgment calls on sensitive content.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently while adhering to deadlines and company protocols.
- Comfortable working with digital tools, moderation software, and reporting systems.
Experience
- Prior experience in content moderation, digital community management, social media, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with online safety protocols, copyright issues, and online harassment awareness is a plus.
Working Hours
- Freelance/remote work with flexible hours.
- Must be able to commit to scheduled shifts, including evenings, weekends, or public holidays, depending on workload and time zone requirements.
