EditFlow Solutions is seeking meticulous and detail-oriented Freelance Proofreaders to join our remote team. As a Freelance Proofreader, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, clarity, and quality of written content before it reaches our clients. Key Responsibilities
- Review and proofread documents, articles, marketing content, and other written materials for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and consistency.
- Ensure content adheres to the company’s style guidelines and client specifications.
- Collaborate with writers, editors, and project managers to clarify ambiguities and provide constructive feedback.
- Verify facts, formatting, and references to maintain accuracy and professionalism.
- Meet deadlines consistently while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Track and report errors, patterns, and recommendations to improve overall content quality.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax.
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in reviewing content.
- Familiarity with style guides (e.g., AP, Chicago, MLA) is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to provide constructive feedback diplomatically.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and other editing tools.
Experience
- Previous experience in proofreading, editing, or content review is preferred but not mandatory.
- Freelance or remote work experience is a plus.
- Experience in specific industries (e.g., marketing, technical writing, publishing) is an added advantage.
Working Hours
