Job Summary

National General Insurance is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bodily Injury Adjuster II to join our remote claims team. This role involves managing moderate-to-complex bodily injury claims with a focus on accuracy, customer service, and timely resolution. You will work closely with claimants, insureds, attorneys, and medical professionals to evaluate liability, negotiate settlements, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate, and manage bodily injury claims from initial report to final settlement.


• Investigate claims by gathering relevant information such as police reports, witness statements, medical records, and legal documentation.


• Analyze liability, coverage, and damages to determine claim exposure.


• Negotiate and settle claims with claimants, attorneys, and medical providers in a fair and timely manner.


• Maintain accurate claim files and documentation in compliance with company standards.


• Provide exceptional customer service by keeping all stakeholders informed throughout the claims process.


• Collaborate with internal teams, including legal and medical consultants, to resolve complex claim issues.


• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations as well as company policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in insurance, claims, or a related field.


• Strong knowledge of bodily injury claims handling, insurance policies, and legal processes.


• Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.


• Proficiency in claims management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.


• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously.

Experience

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience handling bodily injury claims.


• Prior experience working in a high-volume claims environment preferred.


• Litigation experience is an asset but not required.

Working Hours

• Full-time, remote role.


• Standard business hours (Monday–Friday), with occasional flexibility required based on claim demands.

• In-depth understanding of bodily injury claims, settlement negotiation, and medical terminology.


• Ability to work independently and manage claims with minimal supervision.


• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
