Job Summary


AidWave International is seeking a motivated and organized Remote Volunteer Coordinator to join our team. This role plays a key part in managing, supporting, and engaging volunteers for our global humanitarian initiatives. As a Volunteer Coordinator, you will work remotely to recruit, train, and retain volunteers, ensuring that they are well-supported and motivated to contribute to AidWave International’s mission of delivering sustainable aid and community support worldwide.


Key Responsibilities



  • Recruit, screen, and onboard new volunteers through online platforms and partnerships.

  • Coordinate volunteer schedules, assignments, and availability.

  • Provide training, orientation, and ongoing support to volunteers.

  • Develop engagement strategies to maintain strong volunteer relationships.

  • Track volunteer participation, attendance, and performance metrics.

  • Collaborate with program managers to match volunteers with suitable projects.

  • Organize virtual meetings, events, and recognition initiatives for volunteers.

  • Maintain up-to-date volunteer records and databases.

  • Address volunteer concerns and provide conflict resolution when needed.


Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Resources, Nonprofit Management, or related field (preferred but not mandatory).

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Proficiency in using MS Office, Google Workspace, and volunteer management tools.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Passion for humanitarian and community development work.


Experience



  • Previous experience in volunteer coordination, NGO project management, or community outreach is highly desirable.

  • Experience working with diverse and international volunteer groups is an advantage.


Working Hours



  • Flexible remote work schedule.

  • Approximately 15–20 hours per week, with occasional weekend availability for virtual events or urgent volunteer needs.

  • Knowledge of volunteer recruitment strategies and community engagement.

  • Ability to motivate and inspire volunteers.

  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.

  • Cultural sensitivity and adaptability when working with global teams.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced NGO environment.
