Job Summary
EcoSphere Foundation is seeking passionate and detail-oriented Online Environmental Researchers to join our mission-driven team. This remote position offers an opportunity to contribute to global environmental sustainability efforts by conducting research, analyzing data, and providing insights that support advocacy, awareness, and policy initiatives. As an Online Environmental Researcher, you will collaborate with international teams, NGOs, and partners to develop innovative solutions addressing climate change, biodiversity loss, and sustainable development challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough research on environmental issues including climate change, renewable energy, water conservation, waste management, and biodiversity.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data from reliable sources.
- Prepare research papers, reports, and policy briefs to support EcoSphere Foundation’s environmental projects and campaigns.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to provide evidence-based recommendations.
- Monitor global environmental trends and emerging sustainability practices.
- Support grant writing and fundraising proposals by providing data-driven insights.
- Present findings in a clear and compelling manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Environmental Science, Ecology, Sustainability, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using online research tools, databases, and statistical software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Experience
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in academic, NGO, or applied research (internships and volunteer work are also considered).
- Prior experience in preparing research papers, reports, or environmental project documentation is highly desirable.
Working Hours
- Flexible remote work schedule with an expectation of 20–40 hours per week depending on project requirements.
- Occasional virtual meetings aligned with international time zones.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of global environmental policies, frameworks, and sustainable development goals (SDGs).
- Understanding of environmental data sources, climate models, and reporting standards.
- Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate it in a clear, accessible format.
