Job Summary
CloudSphere Systems is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Cloud Support Engineer to join our IT support team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing technical assistance, troubleshooting cloud environments, and ensuring the smooth operation of cloud-based systems. This role is ideal for individuals with strong problem-solving abilities, deep technical knowledge of cloud technologies, and a passion for delivering excellent customer support in a remote working setup.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for cloud-based services including infrastructure, storage, networking, and applications.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues in cloud environments.
- Troubleshoot incidents, investigate root causes, and resolve complex technical problems in collaboration with senior engineers.
- Assist customers in deploying, configuring, and managing their cloud solutions.
- Maintain documentation for cloud processes, solutions, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve overall system reliability and security.
- Implement updates, patches, and configuration changes as required.
- Provide timely status updates and ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) are met.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and networking concepts.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
Experience
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in IT support, cloud engineering, or system administration.
- Experience in handling ticketing systems and remote troubleshooting tools.
- Exposure to IT security practices and compliance standards is a plus.
Working Hours
- Full-time remote position with flexible working hours.
- Candidate must be available to support critical issues and may be required to work in rotational shifts, including weekends if necessary.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- In-depth knowledge of cloud services deployment and lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, containerization).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
