Job Summary


HackShield Security is looking for skilled and motivated Ethical Hackers to join our global team on a freelance, remote basis. As an Ethical Hacker, you will be responsible for identifying vulnerabilities, testing security frameworks, and ensuring robust protection against cyber threats. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects across industries, applying advanced penetration testing techniques and ethical hacking methodologies to safeguard our clients’ digital assets.


Key Responsibilities



  • Conduct penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and security audits for web applications, mobile platforms, and networks.

  • Simulate real-world cyberattacks to evaluate the effectiveness of existing security systems.

  • Identify, report, and document security flaws with detailed remediation recommendations.

  • Collaborate with IT teams, developers, and system administrators to fix identified vulnerabilities.

  • Stay up to date with the latest hacking techniques, security tools, and industry best practices.

  • Provide detailed technical reports and communicate findings in non-technical language for clients and stakeholders.

  • Support clients in meeting compliance requirements (ISO, GDPR, PCI-DSS, etc.).


Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Strong knowledge of ethical hacking methodologies, penetration testing tools, and frameworks (Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, Wireshark, Kali Linux, etc.).

  • Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

  • Deep understanding of networks, firewalls, operating systems, and web application security.

  • Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 and common vulnerabilities (SQL injection, XSS, CSRF, etc.).

  • Certifications such as CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), OSCP, or CISSP (preferred but not mandatory).

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.


Experience



  • Minimum 1–3 years of practical experience in penetration testing or ethical hacking (freelance, internships, or professional).

  • Experience working with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) is an advantage.

  • Prior exposure to security audits or red team engagements is a plus.


Working Hours



  • Flexible freelance hours with project-based assignments.

  • Availability for occasional urgent security testing or consultations may be required.
