Job Summary
HackShield Security is seeking highly skilled and motivated Ethical Hackers to join our remote freelance team. As an Ethical Hacker, you will play a critical role in identifying and mitigating cybersecurity vulnerabilities in client systems. This role offers the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to securing digital assets across industries. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background, a passion for cybersecurity, and the ability to think like a hacker to protect against real-world threats.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on client systems, networks, and applications.
- Identify security weaknesses, potential exploits, and provide detailed recommendations for remediation.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop actionable security strategies.
- Simulate cyberattacks to assess system resilience and response effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate documentation of tests, results, and security recommendations.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging threats, attack vectors, and cybersecurity trends.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and security policies during all testing activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in ethical hacking, penetration testing, or cybersecurity analysis.
- Proficiency in tools such as Metasploit, Wireshark, Nmap, Burp Suite, and related platforms.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, system architecture, and web application security.
- Knowledge of operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and UNIX environments.
- Ability to analyze, report, and communicate security findings effectively.
- Relevant certifications such as CEH, OSCP, CISSP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in cybersecurity, ethical hacking, or penetration testing.
- Hands-on experience in testing diverse systems and environments.
- Freelance or remote work experience is a plus but not mandatory.
