Job Summary LawDocs Transcribe is seeking skilled and detail-oriented professionals to join our team as Remote Legal Transcriptionists. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately transcribing legal audio files and documents into written text, ensuring compliance with industry standards and confidentiality protocols. This is a fully remote position, allowing you the flexibility to work from home while contributing to important legal processes.


Key Responsibilities



  • Transcribe legal audio recordings, depositions, court proceedings, and client interviews into accurate written documents.

  • Ensure correct use of legal terminology, grammar, and formatting according to legal standards.

  • Proofread and edit transcriptions to maintain accuracy and readability.

  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of professionalism.

  • Deliver completed assignments within set deadlines.

  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure quality output.


Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Strong command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

  • Knowledge of legal terminology and court procedures.

  • Excellent listening and typing skills with high speed and accuracy.

  • Proficiency in transcription software and word processing tools (MS Word, Google Docs, etc.).

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.


Experience



  • Prior experience in legal transcription is highly preferred.

  • Candidates with general transcription experience and strong legal knowledge will also be considered.


Working Hours



  • Flexible working hours with the option to choose part-time or full-time schedules.
