Key Responsibilities
- Translate written content accurately from the source language to the target language while maintaining meaning, tone, and context.
- Review and proofread translated materials to ensure linguistic accuracy and consistency.
- Adapt translations to the cultural nuances of the target audience.
- Collaborate with project managers and other translators to meet project deadlines.
- Utilize translation tools and software efficiently to enhance productivity.
- Maintain confidentiality of all documents and sensitive information.
- Continuously improve translation skills through feedback and professional development opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Fluency in at least one language pair (source and target) with excellent command of grammar, vocabulary, and idiomatic expressions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing error-free translations.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with translation software (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ) is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of different industries’ terminology (legal, technical, marketing, etc.) is a plus.
Experience
- Prior experience in professional translation or related language services is preferred.
- Freelance, internship, or project-based translation experience will be considered.
- Experience in specialized translation fields (legal, medical, technical, marketing) is advantageous.
Working Hours
