Job Summary
MedScribe Health is seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Medical Transcriptionists to join our growing team. As a Remote Medical Transcriptionist, you will play a crucial role in accurately transcribing medical reports dictated by healthcare professionals. Your work will help ensure precise medical documentation that supports patient care and compliance with healthcare standards. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe medical reports, including operative notes, discharge summaries, and diagnostic reports from voice recordings.
- Review and edit transcriptions for grammar, spelling, and medical terminology accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Maintain organized records of completed work and track transcription progress.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers to clarify unclear or ambiguous dictations.
- Meet daily and weekly transcription deadlines while maintaining high accuracy standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent command of English, including grammar, punctuation, and medical terminology.
- Strong listening and comprehension skills to interpret dictations accurately.
- Typing speed of at least 60 words per minute with high accuracy.
- Proficiency with transcription software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Experience
- Prior experience in medical transcription or healthcare documentation is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is a plus.
