Job Summary


SecureEdge is seeking a highly motivated Cybersecurity Intern specializing in Penetration Testing to join our dynamic security team. This internship offers hands-on experience in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating security vulnerabilities across networks, applications, and systems. The ideal candidate will gain exposure to cutting-edge cybersecurity tools, frameworks, and methodologies while contributing to real-world security projects that protect our clients’ critical digital assets.




Key Responsibilities



  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on networks, applications, and systems under supervision.

  • Identify security weaknesses, potential threats, and risks, and provide actionable recommendations.

  • Assist in preparing detailed security reports and documentation for internal teams and clients.

  • Collaborate with the IT and development teams to implement security solutions and remediate vulnerabilities.

  • Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity threats, exploits, and security tools.

  • Participate in team discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions to strengthen organizational security posture.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.

  • Basic understanding of network protocols, web applications, and operating systems.

  • Familiarity with penetration testing tools (e.g., Nmap, Metasploit, Burp Suite, Wireshark).

  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) is a plus.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.




Experience



  • No prior professional experience required; academic projects, lab work, or personal projects in cybersecurity will be considered valuable.

  • Exposure to ethical hacking, bug bounty programs, or cybersecurity competitions is a strong advantage.




Working Hours



  • Full-time internship with flexible working hours, Monday to Friday.

  • Remote work options available depending on project requirements.
