Job Summary
TechOps is looking for a motivated IT Operations Intern specializing in Network and Server Administration to join our dynamic team. This internship provides hands-on experience in maintaining IT infrastructure, monitoring system performance, and supporting the daily operations of networks and servers. The role is ideal for students or recent graduates seeking to build a strong foundation in IT operations and infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and monitoring of network devices, servers, and IT infrastructure.
- Provide support in troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of networks and servers.
- Document IT processes, network diagrams, and troubleshooting steps.
- Support routine maintenance tasks, including system updates, security patches, and backups.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure smooth and secure operations across departments.
- Assist in implementing security best practices for networks and servers.
- Participate in incident response and help resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux server environments.
- Understanding of firewalls, routers, and switches.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Experience
- Prior internship, project work, or coursework in IT infrastructure, networking, or server administration is preferred but not mandatory.
- Freshers with strong theoretical knowledge are encouraged to apply.
Working Hours
- Flexible internship schedule with approximately 20–30 hours per week.
- May require availability during off-peak hours for system maintenance.
