Job Summary

TechAssist is seeking a motivated IT Support Intern to join our dynamic IT department. This internship offers hands-on experience in helpdesk operations, troubleshooting, and network administration. You will work closely with senior IT professionals to resolve technical issues, maintain network infrastructure, and provide end-user support, gaining practical exposure to real-world IT environments. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates eager to develop technical expertise and build a career in IT support and network management.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems via phone, email, or in-person support.
  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment and software.
  • Monitor and maintain network performance, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Document technical issues and solutions for knowledge base updates.
  • Assist in IT projects, including system upgrades and migrations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth IT operations.
  • Support end-users with account management, permissions, and security compliance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
  • Understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
  • Familiarity with helpdesk ticketing systems and remote support tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Experience

  • Prior experience is not mandatory, but any hands-on experience through academic projects, internships, or personal IT projects will be an advantage.

Working Hours

  • Flexible working hours with a standard 20–30 hours per week.
