This role is ideal for individuals passionate about teaching and helping students enhance their English language proficiency. As an online tutor, you will deliver engaging lessons, assess student progress, and provide personalized guidance in reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. This is a part-time evening role designed for flexible work-from-home arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct online English tutoring sessions for students of varying age groups and proficiency levels.
- Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with students’ learning objectives.
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback to foster improvement.
- Encourage active participation and engagement during lessons to create a dynamic learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of attendance and performance.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet individual student needs.
- Collaborate with the academic team to develop curriculum enhancements and teaching strategies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong command of the English language (speaking, reading, and writing).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to explain concepts clearly and creatively.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams).
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of teaching experience, preferably in English language instruction or tutoring.
- Experience with online teaching platforms is highly desirable.
Working Hours
- Evening shifts: 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM (flexible within this window).
- Part-time, remote work-from-home opportunity.
