Job Summary:


Disney Data Labs is seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented interns for our Business Intelligence & Reporting team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in transforming complex datasets into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across Disney’s global business operations. As a Business Intelligence & Reporting Intern, you will work closely with data analysts, BI developers, and business stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions. You will also have exposure to modern data visualization tools, data modeling techniques, and reporting frameworks in a real-world corporate setting.




Key Responsibilities:



  • Assist in designing and developing interactive dashboards and reports to monitor key business metrics.

  • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources to provide actionable insights.

  • Support the BI team in data modeling, reporting automation, and process improvements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand reporting requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.

  • Participate in the preparation of presentations and documentation for stakeholders.

  • Contribute to ad-hoc analysis projects to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business optimization.




Required Skills and Qualifications:



  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.

  • Basic knowledge of SQL for querying relational databases.

  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and reporting best practices.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.




Experience:



  • Prior exposure to internships, projects, or coursework in business analytics, data reporting, or BI is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Experience in creating dashboards, data models, or reports will be an added advantage.




Working Hours:



  • Full-time internship for 8–12 weeks, with flexible hours to accommodate academic schedules.

  • Remote and on-site options may be available depending on location and project requirements.




Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Strong numerical and analytical aptitude.

  • Ability to interpret complex datasets and present findings in a clear and actionable manner.

  • Proficiency in BI and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).

  • Knowledge of database querying (SQL) and data manipulation techniques.

  • Effective time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Curiosity to explore business trends, metrics, and insights beyond assigned tasks.
