Job Summary


Disney Interactive Studios is seeking passionate and creative Game Development Interns to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities



  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of video games across multiple platforms.

  • Collaborate with senior developers, artists, and designers to implement game mechanics, UI/UX elements, and interactive features.

  • Support debugging, performance optimization, and quality assurance for ongoing projects.

  • Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh ideas for game narratives and features.

  • Document development processes, maintain organized project files, and assist in version control management.

  • Keep up-to-date with gaming trends, technologies, and Disney’s brand standards to ensure high-quality output.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Game Development, Software Engineering, or related fields.

  • Basic knowledge of programming languages such as C++, C#, Python, or JavaScript.

  • Familiarity with game engines like Unity, Unreal Engine, or Godot.

  • Understanding of game mechanics, physics, AI, and interactive design principles.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.




Experience



  • Prior experience in personal or academic game projects, hackathons, or internships is a plus but not mandatory.

  • Portfolio of game projects, mods, or interactive applications is highly desirable.




Working Hours



  • Flexible hours tailored for interns, typically 20–30 hours per week.

  • Duration: 3–6 months (with possibility of extension based on performance and availability).

  • Hybrid or remote options may be available depending on Disney Interactive Studios’ guidelines.
