Job Summary

Disney Digital Media is seeking a highly motivated and creative UX/UI Designer Intern to join our Digital Platforms team. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to world-class digital experiences across Disney’s streaming and interactive platforms. As a UX/UI Designer Intern, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, developers, and content creators to design intuitive, visually appealing, and user-centered digital interfaces that enhance audience engagement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for web and mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and content teams to develop user-centered design solutions.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and refine design solutions.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and design critiques to provide and receive constructive feedback.
  • Ensure all designs align with Disney’s brand guidelines and accessibility standards.
  • Support the creation of design documentation, style guides, and interaction specifications.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging design technologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design skills across digital platforms.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Excellent visual design skills, typography, and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate user needs into elegant solutions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to articulate design ideas clearly.

Experience

  • Previous internship or project experience in UX/UI design, digital product design, or related areas is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience with usability testing, user research, and creating personas or user journeys is a plus.

Working Hours

  • Full-time internship (typically 35–40 hours per week).
  • Flexible schedule may be accommodated for students.
  • Duration: 3–6 months, with potential for extension based on performance.
