Job Summary
Disney Digital Media is seeking a highly motivated and creative UX/UI Designer Intern to join our Digital Platforms team. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for web and mobile applications.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and content teams to develop user-centered design solutions.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and refine design solutions.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and design critiques to provide and receive constructive feedback.
- Ensure all designs align with Disney’s brand guidelines and accessibility standards.
- Support the creation of design documentation, style guides, and interaction specifications.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging design technologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design skills across digital platforms.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Excellent visual design skills, typography, and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate user needs into elegant solutions.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to articulate design ideas clearly.
Experience
- Previous internship or project experience in UX/UI design, digital product design, or related areas is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with usability testing, user research, and creating personas or user journeys is a plus.
Working Hours
- Full-time internship (typically 35–40 hours per week).
- Flexible schedule may be accommodated for students.
- Duration: 3–6 months, with potential for extension based on performance.
