Job Summary
Walt Disney Imagineering invites creative and motivated individuals to join our Creative Design Internship program. This internship provides an immersive experience in the world of Disney theme park design and innovation, allowing interns to collaborate with some of the most talented designers, engineers, and storytellers in the industry. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Disney Imagineering teams to assist in the conceptualization and design of attractions, environments, and experiences.
- Support the creation of detailed sketches, renderings, 3D models, and storyboards that bring creative concepts to life.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions, offering innovative ideas and solutions for design challenges.
- Assist in researching and sourcing materials, technologies, and design trends relevant to projects.
- Prepare visual presentations and documentation for design proposals and team reviews.
- Engage with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, and creative leadership to ensure designs align with project goals and feasibility.
- Contribute to maintaining high standards of quality, creativity, and Disney storytelling in all design outputs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Industrial Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Graphic Design, Animation, or related field.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), AutoCAD, SketchUp, or 3D modeling tools.
- Strong visual communication skills, with an eye for detail, color, and composition.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn from experienced professionals.
- Passion for storytelling, creativity, and innovation in themed entertainment design.
Experience
- Previous internships, academic projects, or freelance work in design, illustration, animation, or related creative fields are preferred but not mandatory.
- A portfolio demonstrating creative work, design thinking, and visual storytelling is required for consideration.
Working Hours
- This is a full-time internship, typically 40 hours per week.
- Flexible scheduling may be available to accommodate academic commitments.
- Internship duration: 3–6 months, depending on program requirements and project assignments.
