Job Summary
Walt Disney Animation Studios is offering a 12-week paid summer internship designed to provide an in-depth view of our filmmaking process. Interns will hone their craft through individual mentorship, studio meet & greets, and hands-on experience across various stages of production. This opportunity is ideal for students passionate about animation and storytelling, seeking to gain practical experience in a world-class creative environment Walt Disney Animation Studios.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with various stages of Development, Prep, Production, and Post Production.
- Attend and help set up internal studio meetings and meetings with our productions.
- Distribute and track Below the Line contracts.
- Read any and all available scripts.
- Work on various Research and Development projects, including crafting set lists, tracking crew availability per project, script comparisons, pulling images, acquiring location packages from film commissions, etc. Disney Careers
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- A passion for animation and storytelling.
- Previous experience in a production environment is a plus but not required.
Experience
- This is an entry-level internship position; no prior professional experience is necessary.
- Ideal for students pursuing a degree in Film, Animation, Media Arts, or a related field.
Working Hours
- Full-time commitment during the 12-week internship period.
- Standard studio hours, with flexibility as needed to accommodate production schedules.
