Job Summary


UnityCare Foundation is seeking a compassionate and dedicated NGO Social Worker to join our mission-driven team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing direct support to vulnerable communities, facilitating programs that enhance social welfare, and advocating for the rights and well-being of marginalized groups. This role combines hands-on community engagement with administrative and reporting responsibilities, ensuring that our interventions have measurable positive impacts.




Key Responsibilities



  • Conduct community assessments to identify needs, challenges, and resources.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor social welfare programs tailored to target populations.

  • Provide counseling, guidance, and support to individuals and families facing social, emotional, or economic difficulties.

  • Collaborate with local authorities, partner organizations, and stakeholders to ensure coordinated service delivery.

  • Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and document program outcomes.

  • Advocate for the rights and needs of marginalized communities.

  • Conduct workshops and awareness campaigns on health, education, and social issues.

  • Assist in fundraising and grant proposal development when needed.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy, confidentiality, and professionalism.

  • Experience in community outreach, case management, or social welfare programs is highly desirable.

  • Knowledge of social welfare policies, laws, and community resources.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.




Experience



  • Minimum 2 years of experience in social work, community development, or NGO operations.

  • Experience with vulnerable populations such as children, women, elderly, or marginalized communities is preferred.




Working Hours



  • Full-time position, typically Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM.

  • Flexibility required for occasional field visits, evening workshops, or weekend community programs.




Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)



  • Deep understanding of social work principles and ethical standards.

  • Proficiency in report writing and basic computer applications (MS Office, database management).

  • Ability to plan and implement community-based initiatives.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

  • Cultural sensitivity and respect for diversity.
