Job Summary
SafeLife Initiative is seeking a passionate and experienced Public Health Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will lead, manage, and coordinate public health programs aimed at improving community health outcomes. This role involves planning, implementing, and monitoring health initiatives, ensuring adherence to best practices, and collaborating with local stakeholders, governmental agencies, and partner organizations. The Public Health Coordinator will serve as a key driver in our mission to promote preventive care, health education, and sustainable health interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee public health programs, campaigns, and initiatives aligned with SafeLife Initiative’s strategic goals.
- Conduct needs assessments, analyze health data, and identify priority areas for intervention.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, community leaders, NGOs, and governmental agencies to maximize program impact.
- Monitor and evaluate program outcomes, preparing detailed reports and recommendations for improvement.
- Organize training workshops, awareness campaigns, and community health events.
- Manage budgets, resources, and logistics associated with public health initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international health regulations and guidelines.
- Provide technical support and mentorship to field staff and community volunteers.
- Stay updated on emerging public health trends, research, and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Community Health, Nursing, Epidemiology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Strong understanding of public health principles, policies, and programs.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.
- Experience in designing and implementing health education programs.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in public health program coordination, community health, or a related sector.
- Proven experience in managing health projects, including monitoring and evaluation.
- Previous work with NGOs, government health departments, or international health organizations is a plus.
Working Hours
- Full-time position with flexibility in remote or field-based work.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for events, training sessions, or community outreach activities.
