Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a passionate and skilled Game Developer to join our dynamic team. This is a fully remote role, allowing you to work from anywhere in India. As a Game Developer, you will play a crucial role in creating engaging and immersive gaming experiences, developing cutting-edge games, and collaborating with a talented team of designers, artists, and developers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain game mechanics, features, and functionality using game development platforms like Unity, Unreal Engine, or equivalent.
• Collaborate with designers and artists to implement creative game ideas and translate concepts into functional games.
• Optimize games for performance, ensuring seamless functionality across multiple devices and platforms.
• Debug and troubleshoot code, addressing bugs and implementing fixes promptly.
• Write clean, modular, and well-documented code for efficient development and scalability.
• Test games for functionality, user experience, and technical performance.
• Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and technologies to enhance game development processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in game development tools and engines like Unity 3D, Unreal Engine, or similar platforms.
• Strong programming skills in C#, C++, or JavaScript.
• Experience with 2D and 3D game development.
• Familiarity with game physics, AI, and animation principles.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of version control tools such as Git or SVN.
• Passion for gaming and creating immersive user experiences.

Experience

• A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in game development is required.
• Experience in shipping at least one game from start to finish is highly desirable.
• Prior experience with mobile, PC, or console games will be an advantage.
