Key Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture, capillary puncture, and other blood collection techniques with accuracy and care.
  • Label and handle specimens to maintain chain of custody and ensure proper processing.
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and infection control protocols.
  • Provide a calming and supportive environment for patients, ensuring their comfort during procedures.
  • Maintain and update patient records accurately.
  • Operate and maintain phlebotomy equipment, ensuring functionality and cleanliness.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to address patient needs and optimize workflow.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a phlebotomist in a clinical or hospital setting.
  • Certification in Phlebotomy (CPT or equivalent) is required.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and specimen handling procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in phlebotomy.
  • Prior experience in high-volume clinical environments is a plus.

Working Hours

  • Full-time and part-time positions available.
  • Flexible scheduling, including morning, afternoon, and evening shifts.
  • Weekend and holiday availability may be required based on patient needs.
